For he’s never afraid.

Rumbling and grumbling, he seems

Till he bursts at his seams.

The river’s a father,

He’s kind but forgetful

He takes care of us all

Even when his hands are full.

The river’s a savior,

A life-giver, a provider,

He’ll always be there

For all to share.
